Graduate Program Application Steps
There are 2 separate applications for the USC Earth Sciences Graduate Program. Both are required.
The first application is through USC's graduate admissions.
You can find the application and information at this website http://www.usc.edu/admission/graduate/
Please fill-out and submit this application. You will receive an application ID number (AYID) that is necessary for the second application.
The second application is through the Earth Sciences Department.
Most of the requested information is redundant to what you already provided in the USC application, however this form is required for fellowship consideration. This application will ask you for:
- Basic contact information
- A PDF format of your statement of interest
- A PDF format of your unofficial transcript
- A PDF format of your CV
- A list of your top 3 faculty you'd be interested in working with
- AYID number (10 digit xxxx-xxxx-xx)
You can fill out this application at http://earth.usc.edu/apply1
Please direct any questions regarding the application process to our graduate advisor, Cindy Waite, waite@usc.edu.
Any technical questions can be directed to our Information Systems administrator John Yu, johnyu@usc.edu.
