Graduate Program Application Steps

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY

There are 2 separate applications for the USC Earth Sciences Graduate Program.

(1) The first application is through USC's graduate admissions.

You can find the application and information at this website http://www.usc.edu/admission/graduate/

Please fill-out and submit this application. You will receive a 10 digit USC ID number that is necessary for the second application.  You will also need to submit the same statement of interest, unofficial transcript and your CV in the second application so please retain a copy of it.

(2) The second application is through the Earth Sciences Department.

Most of the requested information is redundant to what you already provided in the USC application, however this form is required for fellowship consideration. This application will ask you for:

• Basic contact information
• A PDF format of your statement of interest (same statement as in part 1)
• A PDF format of your unofficial transcript (same statement as in part 1)
• A PDF format of your CV (same statement as in part 1)
• A list of your top 3 faculty you'd be interested in working with
• USC ID number (10 digit xxxx-xxxx-xx)
