Research

As a geochemist and paleoceanographer, I have interests in developing methods to investigate past hydrographic variability and in understanding processes that influence how a particular archive records past oceanic variability. As a statistician, I seek to apply mathematical techniques in order to extract paleoceanographic-relevant information from raw proxy data and to quantify the uncertainty associated with the reconstruction.

Research Interests:

1. Uncertainty quantification of paleo-proxy records
2. Proxy calibration
3. Tropical climate variability
4. Role of solar forcing in Holocene millennial-scale variability
5. Quantification of 20th century climate change from proxy records
