Gavin at 26 minutes A mere 26 minutes after birth, Gavin is gripping his dad's hand while his breathing is being observed by the nursing staff. Gavin at 14 hours Gavin sleeping soundly next to his very proud mother, 14 hours after birth.
Gavin at 36 hours Gavin at 36 hours after birth. What a cutie! Gavin looks at his mom Gavin gazes into his new mother's eyes.
On the bilibed To help reduce his bilirubin levels (jaundice), the doctors prescribed phototherapy using a "bilibed" -- kind of a cloth tray above a bright blue light. He wasn't pleased. Gavin The "blue burrito" (aka "glow worm") phototherapy at home, to replace the bilibed. (No, they don't use pink lights on girls!)
In his carseat Gavin, all ready for his second car trip ever -- to the pediatrician's office. Held by his dad Who gave that man a baby?! The proud new father holds his son while mom grabs the camera on a break.
Zonked out on his mom Mom and Gavin share a cuddly moment in the afternoon. Using dad as a chaise lounge Dad's turn to prove that he, too, makes a good mattress. At least somebody's getting some sleep in this household!
