I am currently a PhD student working with Professor Yehuda Ben-Zion in the Department of Earth Sciences
at University of Southern California. Before moving to USC, I got my B.Sc. in Geophysics (Major) and in
Mathematics & Applied Mathematics (Minor) from Peking University, in 2007.
My research studies mainly focus on these two projects: (1) The major one is on dynamic rupture problems
based on a damage-rheology model in which elastic moduli of the media could evolve with time during
earthquake events. This project is collaborated with Yehuda Ben-Zion (USC), Jean-Paul Ampuero (Caltech)
and Vladimir Lyakhovsky (GSI). (2) The minor one is to use trapped wave technique, with a purpose of
imaging damage zone structure.
